    Citrus aurantium var. amara. Family Rutaceae.
  • Distribution:
    Native to Southern China and Northeast India. Oil is produced in France, North Africa, Paraguay and Haiti.
  • Description of plant:
    An evergreen tree with glossy dark green leaves and fragrant white flowers.
  • Extraction:
    Steam distillation of the leaves and twigs.
  • Charactersitics:
    A pale yellow, rather mobile liquid of strong, bitter-sweet, woody-floral odour and fresh citrus notes.

    Could help in clearing up skin blemishes like pimples.
